The HelmetCheck.org Database is populated voluntarily by motorcycle helmet manufacturers and distributors. Each contributor must certify that they are the North American representative of the brand submitted. These manufacturers or distributors further stipulate that the models they list are fully tested and are certified as compliant with the U.S. Department of Transportation motorcycle helmet standard.
If a motorcycle helmet brand or model does not appear in this database, it does not necessarily mean non-compliance. Contact the manufacturer or distributor in question to ascertain the compliance status of their motorcycle helmets.
Manufacturers or distributors interested in uploading their helmet compliance data are encouraged to contact Carole Iannello via email: ciannello@mic.org for guidance.
